Cropped

Every family photo has them: same face, same position, always slightly out of frame. I started noticing after Dad's funeral when I scanned old albums. Someone's been cropping themselves out for decades, leaving just an elbow, a shoulder, half a smile. This morning's breakfast photo: they're in focus. We're blurred background now.
