Floor

The elevator button appeared after midnight. Floor 12.5. The doors opened to my hallway but wrong: carpet pattern flowing backward, my room key working on a door I'd never seen. Inside, I found myself sleeping, dreaming of pressing the button. I pressed it again. The loop continues. I think I'm still dreaming.
