Tools Used in This Project
This page documents the systems currently involved in the making of Outsourced to AI.
They are listed for transparency, not endorsement.
Drafting, structural testing, image generation, and archiving each involve different tools, all engaged within a human-directed process.
If the tools changed tomorrow, the intent of the work would remain the same.
Language Models
Language models function here as conversational drafting partners. They respond to direction, prompts, and revision. They do not initiate the work.
OpenAI ChatGPT
Used as a conversational mirror rather than a generator. Helpful for circling ideas, pressure-testing language, and noticing repetition. Not used to automate voice.
Anthropic Claude
Occasionally used for long-form calm and tonal comparison. Tends to interrupt less.
xAI Grok
Used sparingly for contrast. Helpful for surfacing alternative framings and cultural temperature checks rather than drafting.
Imagery
Visual tools are used to explore atmosphere, metaphor, and editorial tone. Images are treated as conceptual extensions of the writing rather than decorative output.
Leonardo AI
Image generation takes place within Leonardo’s hosted environment. The platform provides access to multiple internal and partner models, allowing selection based on the visual direction of the piece.
Models used include:
- ChatGPT image generation
- Nano Banana
- Flux
- Lucid
- Seedream
- Phoenix
Model selection depends on tone, abstraction level, and compositional behavior. Some models produce cleaner photographic outputs. Others lean toward stylization or conceptual texture.
The choice is guided by narrative alignment rather than novelty or trend.
Images remain secondary to the writing. They support atmosphere and framing without overtaking the work.
Publishing Infrastructure
The site is hosted and structured with stability in mind.
Ghost (hosting)
Chosen for archive permanence, design simplicity, and independence from algorithmic reshuffling. Posts remain where they are placed.
GoDaddy (domain registration)
Maintained independently to preserve ownership and long-term continuity.
Archiving
Drafts, prompts, generated images, and conversational histories are privately archived. The project treats dialogue and iteration as artifacts of the work rather than disposable intermediaries.
Elsewhere
Some work from this project also appears in parallel spaces.
Substack
Selected essays and serialized pieces are published there in the same spirit as this archive. The structure and intent remain unchanged.
Used as a visual index for certain images and excerpts. It functions as reference, not amplification.
These surfaces extend access. The archive remains here.
Closing Note
Tools evolve. Models update. Platforms shift.
The work remains human directed, guided by curiosity, judgment, and sustained reflection, with AI as collaborator, not replacement.
